AGE:19
HISTORY: https://gameofthrones.fandom.com/wiki/Alicent_HightowerCRAU: n/a
PERSONALITY: Sunny Alicent has always tried to be well-liked by those around her. She does so by being sweet and generally keeping to herself. She wants to keep peace between everyone, and is always eager to please. She’s realizing however that you can’t please everyone and maybe sometimes you need to draw a line in the stand.
Romantic She’s always wanted to be swept off her feet like in one of the romances she’s read. But at this point in her life, she knows that’s not happening for her. She’s married to the King of the Seven Kingdoms, but her marriage is less than ideal. She and Viserys make a good team, and get along like good friends. But there is no romantic love there, and she wants it.
Reserved A staunch believer in The Faith of the Seven, Alicent’s religion is important to her, and she has found comfort in religion as she tries to navigate her way in life. It allows her a form of control, to believe that everything has been ordained by figures far more powerful than them. That if she prays hard enough, good things will happen for those she loves. A woman of the Seven Kingdoms, she knows she plays a background role, and does not often share her own feelings or beliefs except with those she trusts.
Dutiful A combination of loyalty and dutiful, Alicent plays her role and does as she must. She will sacrifice all she can for her family and friends, and do as she is told. Put on your mother’s dress and flirt with the king, and keep it a secret from her dearest friend, and she will, because she has been bidden to do so by authority. This makes her relatively easy to manipulate at this point in her life. She expects others will do their duty the same as she does, and is upset to learn this is not the truth. Breaking rules is not something she believes in: things are the way they are for a reason, after all.
Lonely It’s lonely at the top, and even more so for those in power. Having married the King, she has lost much of the friendship she had with his daughter, who saw the marriage and Alicent’s silence as a betrayal. She’s no longer sure who she can trust, especially when said daughter betrayed her in kind.
Mom Alicent has three children back at home: Aegon, Helaena and Aemond. She never had much interest in having her own children, and has had no help from Viserys, but a lot of help from a team of servants. She loves her children and will do anything for them, but there is a disconnect that comes from her having been so young when she had her children. Also, she’s the step-mom of her former bff. So. There’s that.
Anxious Everything is out of her control and she knows it. She finds a certain modicum of control in her faith, but the majority of her anxiety is taken out on herself. She bites and picks at her cuticles, her fingers usually covered in cuts and wounds.
POWERS: While Alicent is a normal human woman, she does have a few special abilities.
Queen Alicent is Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. That makes her the most powerful woman in Westeros. Which… isn’t saying much.
Lady Alicent was raised in the Red Keep, as a companion to Princess Rhaenyra. Eyes were often on her at court, and she knows how to navigate the court system. This means she can dance, sew, host, sing, even play the lute. She can also read.
Pretty No, this is considered an ability in Westeros, seriously. Alicent is well-known for her beauty, though she remains humble about it.
